Still Burlington Beauty

My still movie is about Burlington. I have never really taken the time to look and listen to the many positive parts of Burlington. Whenever I have been driving through the city, I try to figure out the fastest way to get through town by rushing to miss the train, or cruising around the slow, crazy drivers. When I finally did stop, look, and listen to Burlington I realized that I have been missing out on the great scenery and natural sounds of the city. I heard ducks quacking, kids playing, and trains roaring. The train in the distance is actually a very beautiful sound, when you are sitting under a tree, in the shade, next to a river. And the kids and ducks brought such enjoyment, that I find myself going to the Fox River often just to listen and relax.

Circle of Wonder

"Circle of Wonder" is a theme that was chosen because in the video, you never do see the whole circle drive. So when someone watches the video, he or she does not know where the circle drive goes or where it ends. The drive, next to the river, is a very scenic drive that has a lot of offer when it comes to landscape and scenery. This drive is recommended because people can see so much beauty and nature at one time.

Strategy #2

For my second strategy, I plan on walking down Bridge St. in Burlington, WI. The link has been provided below:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=232+Bridge+St.+Burlington,+WI+&sll=36.879621,-95.625&sspn=54.089588,109.511719&ie=UTF8&ll=42.678003,-88.270952&spn=0.003092,0.006684&z=17&om=1

The Light Capturing Strategy that I will use is #22, where I will count while walking and every time that I hit the number ten I will take a photo or video of the area. Also with this one, I will stop at any moment and take 10-15 shots of one area, in one view or record video of that area for about 1 minute.

I think that Bridge St. is a good location for this because the street has a lot of different things going on. The street runs along a railroad track that is extremely active. This street is the bypass around the city to avoid the train. The street also has the river next to it. The street connects with two bridges that are full of ducks, kids, and landscape. Bridge Street is a newer street in Burlington, and has become a very active street to view city excitement along with nature.

Strategy #1

My Location for stategy #1 is on Adams St. in Burlington, WI. The street has a bridge that overlooks famailies of ducks. Around the area is Bridge St., railroad tracks, and a lot of city traffic. The link is provided below.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=232+Bridge+St.+Burlington,+WI+&sll=36.879621,-95.625&sspn=54.089588,109.511719&ie=UTF8&ll=42.677995,-88.270962&spn=0.003092,0.006684&z=17&om=1

I have choose to use the Light Capturing Strategy #49. I will be standing on the bridge over Adams St. for five minutes and capturing everything within my view in that five minutes. My goal is make my audience feel like he or she is standing on the bridge with me. I will take photos from every angle, going the whole 180 degrees.

I choose the bridge on Adams St. because I feel that even though the bridge is in the city, there is still the feeling of relaxation and nature. You see the Fox River, ducks, and beautiful trees and scenery. I want to be able to show my audience how relaxed I feel when I sit on the bridge and just listen.
